Welcome to Dr. Sri. Sri .Sri. Shivakumara Mahaswamy College of Engineering and Dr. Sri. Sri .Sri. Shivakumara Mahaswamy Polytechnic. It gives me immense pleasure to present a profile of our institutions. Education is essential to the economic, social, environmental and political well being of an individual, the community and the nation. All individual should be treated with diginity and respect, given opportunities to develop their special aptitudes and insights and afforded equal opprtunites to equip themselves for a fulfilling life and responsible citizenship.
Our institutions are located in a remote village of Nelamangala Taluk, with a sprawling campus of around eleven acres. We are committed to offer high quality education at an affordable cost, offering diploma, Under graduate and Post graduate Programmes in Engineering and Technology, espically to cater to the needs of rural students so as to enable them to compete with the urban people.

Dr. SMCE – an education hub of premier institutes is committed to imparting quality and value-oriented education. Excellent infrastructure and facilities have been created for teaching / learning, academic processes, sports and extracurricular activities. Management is fully committed to ensure highest standards and excellence in educating and equipping our students for their over-all development and growth, so that they become successful members of our society.
Dr.SMCE has developed strong linkages with industry and other premier institutes. Students of Dr.SMCE have ample facilities and opportunities to get involved in real life projects along with regular courses and find opportunities to interact with leading experts from industry, academia and other technical fields. Here, teachers use latest teaching and learning techniques very effectively in their lectures/seminars. Lot of emphasis is given to the academic growth and development of the faculty as well. Many of them are involved in R&D work also.

Dr M.H. Annaiah is at present Director (Academics) at DR.sri sri sri Shivakumara Mahaswamy College of Engineering Byranayakanahalli ,Nelamangala Taluk Bangalore Rural , Karnataka.
A double Post Graduate in Engineering and Management Science and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Prof. M.H.Annaiah graduated in Mechanical Engineering from BMS college of Engineering Bangalore in 1975, Obtained Post Graduate Degree ME (Machine Design) from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) Bangalore in 1977, M.B.A (Marketing Management) from central college Bangalore and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Hyderabad) Andhra Pradesh. He as 44 plus years of experience in Teaching and Research.
A former Professor of Mechanical Engineering at M.S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (1978-2011). Professor and Head of the Departments of Automobile and Aeronautical Engineering, at Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore (2011-2016). Dr M.H. Annaiah worked as Principal at Dr. Shivakumara Mahaswamy College of Engineering Bangalore (2016-2019), He served as a vice – Principal at Saphagiri College of Engineering (2019-2021)
Dr M.H Annaiah has authored 5 text books which are very useful for students pursuing Engineering and 3 Text books namely, Computer Aided Engineering Drawing , Design of Machine Elements I , Design of Machine Elements II are VTU approved Text books. These books are also prescribed as Textbooks / Reference Books in many reputed Autonomous colleges / Universities and National Institutes in India and abroad. The other Text Books are Strength of Materials and Engineering Graphics
The college is located in Bangalore Rural amidst lush green, eco-friendly environment which is very conducive for learning and has excellent infrastructure. The college has a team of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and technical supporting staff, spacious and well ventilated class rooms, well equipped laboratories, State of the art Library and Information Centre exits. The Library and reading rooms are kept open from 9:30 AM – 3:40 PM on all working days. We have a separate Sports Complex headed by a senior qualified and trained Physical Education Director. The college conducts number of sports tournaments and also encourage students interested in sports to participate in VTU, National and International Sports events. We have a separate Training and Placement centre headed by a senior Placement officer. The students are trained in their domains and render them employable. Number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are conducted every year in the college. The college has Hostel facilities for both Boys and Girls and the hostels are headed by senior Wardens.

Dear Students, a hearty welcome to the portals of DR.sri sri sri Shivakumara Mahaswamy College of Engineering established in the year 2008 by the great visionary philanthropist Honorable chairman sri Chennigappji from Minister, of government of Karnataka At present D.C. Venugopal is the Chairman of Dr.smce. The college is affiliated to VTU Belagavi and approved by AICTE New Delhi. Our goal is to develop our students as technocrats who can contribute to the society and build a sustainable system. Our college with the active support of VTU and Govt. of Karnataka is providing very good facilities for the student community. Our library is a treasure house of very rare and valuable text books. We have the CCTV facilities, an auditorium, a guest house, high end laboratories and facilities.
